Almost Famous

Social media is one hell of a drug, we all know that. We just can't get out of it, definitely checking what is going on, laughing with that, learning and reading the news from that. Being aware of the new trends, in and outs and whom to follow... Sometimes, we just exaggerate this and don't know where to stop. Yes, in sense of time we pass a lot of time on it but I also mean we don't know the boundaries.

Back then, when there were no instant communication applications, it was taking a bit of time to talk to your friends, right? Remember those times? Short messages were a thing, now nobody cares. Then there were these desktop programmes that let us communicate with each other and you were mostly anonymous until you let that person know you. You could have been anyone or you could have been safer when you compare to now. It had its magic while you are using it.

In time, as technology rapidly improves we have different applications, programmes and needs. Because we have seen that more of that is possible. With the knowledge of that, we crave more. So in time, its beauty, the magic and the anonymity have gone too. Now we are all naked and given our own information to them without caring a bit.

Social media is the most impactful "thing" in our lives right now, undeniably. Everyone uses it because it can be useful, but easy to be trapped inside. Probably it is the most effective way to measure your discipline; will you be hooked into it or not?

People realized that they can reach anything, anywhere and anytime. This brought curiosity too. Then, they communicate with strangers from everywhere, tried to find their old friends online and in the end, they tried to reach their favourite actors, football players, singers etc. They are - like everybody else - out there, online. But obviously, they want to be anonymous most of the time. With the relaxation and the recklessness that the technological improvements brought, people tend to be more aggressive. Thus, privacy took serious damage.

Easiness of reaching them by following the people who we love... I think we thought it could be normal to be in communication whenever we want. However, we need to understand that everyone has their own life and solitude. No need to be imprudent by messaging them excessively. Let others be themselves and don't be addicted to anyone blindly.
