When the Childhood Kicks In

Nostalgia is an amazing feeling and I think we would all agree on that. Travelling through time just in seconds, teleporting to whatever moment to be in and reminding yourself about the experiences you have been through is a special power of your mind.

It touches your soul in that brief moment, gives you a free ticket for a ride of a rollercoaster of emotions. Makes you realize how fast the years pass by and sometimes makes you sad. But no, you don't have to: "Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened."

It is true that a big dosage of it can be painful. In the end, we are living in the present and not in the past. Sticking to the old memories might be problematic because it will be difficult to get rid of them in time. Love your nostalgia, but visit it only from time to time instead. Remember the good, learn from them but don't live with them.

Sometimes we have the opportunity to experience some of our old memories. Like watching those old movies, playing the games you had on your first computer, hanging out with your old friends etc. However, we all know that not each of them will give the same moments due to the atmosphere, time, joy and inexperience we had back then.

Visiting the old times every now and then is not that harmful. With the awareness of too much nostalgia can be insidious and ensnaring, we should knock on their doors to ask about them.
